What better way to usher in the spring season than with NHSO Associate Conductor Gerald Steichen and a 50 piece orchestra? Some of America's greatest composers will be explored including Connecticut's own Charles Ives, Leonard Bernstein, John Philip Sousa, and featuring George Gershwin's masterpiece, An American in Paris.

April 1, 2009, 9:30 and 11:30am: Woolsey Hall, New Haven

April 2, 2009, 10:00am and 12:00pm: Fairfield Warde High School, Fairfield

April 7, 2009, 10:15am and 12:00pm: Hyde Cultural Complex, Woodstock

April 3-9, 2009: Additional locations throughout Connecticut.

Each exhilarating 55-minute concert is designed for students in grades 2-8 and is supported by a curriculum guide and recording of the compositions. Tickets are $5 each and space is limited! Contact NHSO Education Director Steve Collins to make your reservation now!

Supported in part by a generous grant from Hank and Nancy Bartels.
