Donna Lee Woolcott
Northford, CT
Donna Lee Woolcott has had a lifetime interest in creating pieces of art that
will please the viewer and bring them to a time of happy memories. Many forms of
art are used to convey her ideas such as pastels and charcoals, acrylics,
leather carving and small sculpture. She especially has a passion for carousel
horses and takes great pride in their restoration and painting. Carousel horses
and pets are the subjects of choice for her pastel portraits.
Donna is employed as a graphic artist but enjoys the challenge of unusual fine
arts projects. She recently completed the painting of her design concept for the
UCONN Husky Trail. The bigger than life statue now guards the entrance to the
Torrington campus of Uconn after making several appearances in CT and MA. Her
carousel horse portraits have graced the cover of nationally distributed
magazines and she has exhibited work throughout the New England and New York
area. Donna's restored/painted carousel animals can be found in the homes of
collectors, museums and on working carousels. She looks forward to the challenge
of creating an eye-catching dazzling piece of work for this exciting violin
project.
